Project: Stroke2gether will move you cover

1 in 4 people aged over 25 will suffer a stroke in their lifetime. In Belgium, every year some 20 000 people a year have a stroke. Often with permanent consequences: paralysis, loss of speech or vision, cognitive impairment, … This puts pressure on daily activities, social contact and self-reliance. Optimal rehabilitation, first in a hospital setting and then at home, is therefore crucial.

The Stroke2gether project makes rehabilitation at home possible supported by a digital care and lifestyle path based on evidenced-based information. Based on the needs of professionals, patients and informal carers, we created a path that focuses on rehabilitation and healthy lifestyle for people after a stroke.

This application fits perfectly with the Value Based Healthcare principle.

During the closing event on 6 June, we will take a closer look at the importance of integrated collaboration in health care for people with stroke. Steven Vandeput, Advisor Digital Medtech at BeMedTech will talk about Value Based Healthcare (VBHC) and the affordability of mobile health applications for healthcare. The Stroke2gether project partners will explain the main findings in the project.

You’re invited too! Be there, on June 6th at 6 pm at Howest in Kortrijk. Participation is free after registration via https://www.in4care.be/event/stroke2gether-laat-je-niet-onberoerd-2023-06-06-105/register
